All species eventually die off. Humans will too. But earth will go on for an estimated 5 billion years more until the sun expands and burns up the earth. Then the suns dies too. That's the future for this solar system we live in. The only thing left will be cockroaches and Cher.

rock1020, errr... The human race wont survie 5 billons years... The sun will enlargen to about 6 - 8 times its normal size in 3.2 billons years killing all life on Earth. Earth will be like Mercury. Then the sun will slowly decrease in size and by the time the Sun reaches 9 billons years of age. KABOOM. Well atleast we get to die a slow and painful death heat wave by heat wave in about 3 billon years time.
