I really must challenge that...humanity will be lucky to be around another 200 years.We've come to the end of a road and here are a few reasons why.1.We have missles and bombs far more powerful then nukes developed and almost every great nation has enough nukes to bomb the world 10x over.2.Disease not only natural diseases but man made diseases so horrific that if let out of it's lab could whipe out a huge chunk of the population. Scientists can make any disease 50x horrible.

We are not stupid, just short sighted. The people in positions of power who could address problems we face do not, this is due largely to greed. The big issue right now is peak oil, global warming is a cover issue as to not alarm the public to a real problem. Eventually the oil will run out and not only the economy, but society will collapse. Oil powers everything and it is believed that we passed the peak in 2006 and the economic slowdown has started.
