Hoover Dam Bypass Progress 4/08

    The water bleached the stone around the dam when it rose to the highest level ever measured, then receded. It happened back in the 1980s. This was according to the Hoover Dam tour guide we paid for, so I hope it's trustworthy info.

    why has the water stained the rock white around the edge of the dam ? lime stone?

    meh, now you can view the bridge, 99.9998% of Arizona/Nevada will still give you your 'view'.

    its kind of sad now that the new highway is higher than the dam i think it might make look Hoover look smaller....
